Dr. Elahi briefly discusses ground-breaking scientific data showing the effects of shutting down and/or significantly reducing abnormal cravings for addictive substances such as alcohol, cocaine and food using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Several research articles showing the mechanism by which TMS can mitigate the abnormal activation of the reward circuits, i.e. mesolimbic circuit in the brain. Studies show that alcohol addiction and obesity can be successfully treated with such a non-invasive strategy.
